Full-Stack Developer for Small Products
I work full-stack on Next.js for the frontend and Node.js/PostgreSQL for the backend — this stack lets me carry a project from mockup to production alone, without the handoff delays that come from splitting work across different specialists. Most of my clients are startups and small businesses that need a working MVP in a reasonable timeframe, not a perfect architecture built for a scale nobody will be around to maintain in a year. At the start of a project I always discuss the real scale with the client: a hundred users and ten thousand users call for different technical decisions, and overpaying for premature engineering almost never makes sense. I set up deployment on Vercel or a plain VPS, and wire up authentication, payments, and email through existing services rather than building everything from scratch. I write code so another developer can pick it up later — no magic, no undocumented decisions. I don't take on projects that need a team of three or more specialists at once — I say so honestly at the briefing stage so it doesn't slow the launch down.
