Rules
Marketplace Rules
Two distinct sets of rules — what the Platform itself does, and what's expected of Users.
Platform Rules (how Freelance Club itself behaves)
These describe the Platform's own behavior and commitments:
- Freelance Club acts as an interface and coordination layer — it is not a bank, payment institution, custodian, or financial intermediary.
- Funds committed to an order are reserved and released or returned under fixed order-fulfillment and dispute-resolution rules, enforced today by the platform's own rules-based accounting system. An Escrow smart contract on the BNB Smart Chain is implemented and deployed and can fully settle an order on-chain once enabled, under the same rules.
- Standard order disputes are resolved through a deterministic pipeline, not case-by-case staff discretion.
- Administrator action on funds or disputes is limited to a narrow set of exception categories.
- Identity verification and sanctions screening are applied on a risk basis, not as blanket, published, fixed rules.
- Fees are disclosed in the Interface at the time of a transaction and may change over time.
Marketplace Rules (what's expected of Users)
These describe how Employers and Freelancers are expected to behave toward each other and the Platform:
- Be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter a binding agreement.
- Provide accurate information — for your profile, your listings, and anything submitted during identity verification or a dispute.
- Don't attempt to circumvent Product Dispute Resolution, identity verification, or sanctions screening.
- Don't use the Interface for money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crime, or to transact with a sanctioned person, entity, or jurisdiction where prohibited.
- Don't infringe another person's intellectual property or interfere with Smart Contract execution, the Rule Engine, or the Interface itself.
- Respect the content and licensing terms for anything you submit (profiles, listings, evidence, messages, portfolio items).
